Game
Mechanism
Following the sea routes shown on the map, ships will try to reach port locations to obtain resources. Whenever the player decides to sail on the open sea, his ship’s course will be influenced by the wind, expressed by the Direction and Duration dice. When the ship arrives at a port location, the player can decide whether to moor at the right price, and thus see the resources available at that location.
During his navigation, he can even decide whether to undertake the exploits represented in the Adventure Scrolls that reveal how and what reward can be obtained. It is then up to the player to find the right strategy to take the most appropriate route depending on the wind and one’s objectives.
The Clash
A player may engage in battle against the enemy fleet at any time
during the game, secretly choosing which resources to deploy during the clash.
When the two fleets meet, the battle begins.
A battle at sea, however, does not necessarily end with the destruction of one of the two ships. If, at the end of the battle, they are still able to sail, players can reach a port location to repair the ship.
