To heighten the sense of realism and deepen the atmosphere of mystery throughout the investigation, Quartermaster features a highly authentic set of game components — including three envelopes, each containing the investigative materials for a single day, such as letters, notes, logbooks, cargo lists, and other objects found aboard the ship. The set also includes an illustration of the ship’s cross-section, highlighting key locations essential to the investigation.
